The mission of the Tsukuba Botanical Garden is to understand and conserve, as well as convey the concept of, plant biodiversity.

History

The Tsukuba Botanical Garden was established in 1976, and opened for the public in 1983.

Introduction to Volunteer Activities

The Garden benefits greatly from the efforts of many dedicated Museum volunteers. The volunteers play a variety of important roles, including providing Garden tours, maintaining the Garden, and supporting and complementing school learning activities.
